It’s been nearly a decade since the series ended, but many anime fans have been waiting for the second season of Cat Planet Cuties.
While the original series was just a passable ecchi harem fantasy, it did enjoy a devoted fan base. Regardless of the show’s mediocre ratings, fans eagerly waited for the next season. And now they have reason to hope.
Although Cat Planet Cuties’ harem elements are overdone and unneeded, the show does have its fair share of other qualities to make it worth your time.
For example, the secondary cast is strong and has a fun cats-versus-dogs plotline. It also has an Okinawa setting and a fun cats-versus-dogs plotline. Despite its flaws, the show’s unique style and premise lie in its appeal.

Overview
The anime follows two cat-loving nerds: Kio and Eris. Kio is a genuine nerd who is clueless when it comes to ladies. Eris is the female version of the fantasy of any manga or cos-playing geek. She hails from the planet Catia and has cute ears, a long slender tail, and curves in all the right places.
Although there has been no official confirmation of a third season, fans are still eagerly awaiting the release of Season 3 of the anime series.
This is a great opportunity for fans to see the cast of the first series reunited. The series is based on the light novel series by Okina Kamino, which was a hit in Japan.
FUNimation Entertainment licensed the show in 2010, and it was released on home media in 2012.
It wasn’t all about success. Cat Planet Cuties’ overall plot was complex, and, after some time, it became boring enough that I couldn’t figure out what to do next. Although I enjoyed the main characters, I did not find the romance aspect of being too heated.
Kio was a fine guy at the center of the harem. His denseness wasn’t special, but he had enough intelligence and courage to help when things were tough.
Manami’s constant interference on Aoi’s behalf was quite annoying. We saw the results of that in the “catfight” episode 11.
Manami knew that Manami was coming. Everyone, except Kio, had to know that Manami was carrying a torch to him and trying to deflect him by pushing Aoi onto her. Aoi was a much more formidable opponent than Eris.
Everything was quite ordinary in terms of production. The “travelogue” elements really showcased Okinawa. I also enjoyed the product placements. OP was good, last ED very catchy, animations and character designs were acceptable as well.
This sums up my feelings on the series. The assistroids, and the humorous pop-culture sensibility, are a little more than just agreeable.
A story about Cat Planet Cuties
Cat Planet Cuties’ story is simple. Eris, a Catgirl, is sent to Earth from Catnia to study the culture. Kakazu takes Eris home as he is a cat and not because he is creepy.
Meanwhile, Eris is being compelled to leave by secret groups that are trying to find out who Eris will take, and these groups keep making it difficult to take her.
Kakazu’s Catnia girls make Kakazu the first and only new Embassy of Catnia. There was once a breed of Catnia dogs on Earth, but Dognia, a Catnia girl, wanted to exterminate Catnia.
“Dognians,” who are dog lovers, will also start conflicts against Catnians. The juicy, uncensored “plot” makes the story interesting but not boring.
Art & Animation by Cat Planet Cuties
The animation is excellent, the ecchi was visually pleasing, and there’s not much else to add except that censor-Kun does not appear in this anime.
Sound of Cat Planet Cuties
The VA is excellent, the music is great, and the first living assassin goes to Earth in one episode. Chihara Minori sings the ending of a good song.
Cat Planet Cuties has entertaining Characters
They’re good. Eris is funny, Aoi is intriguing, Eris is likable, and Eris is not as annoying as one would think of naive characters. Manami is good. Kakazu isn’t a wuss, but he is also not perverted. But the assistroids, especially Chu Yun Fat, were my favorite.
Enjoyment Cat Planet Cuties
This anime had some great ecchi. The comedy was decent, the characters were funny, and references to other anime such as Hidan no Aria and Kampfer. I enjoyed this series.
Cat Planet Cuties Plot
Kio Kakazu, a kindhearted and sophisticated man who lives a dull life, is very happy. After attending one of his ancestors’ funerals, he meets Eris, a girl with cat ears.
He finds Eris sleeping beside him, half-naked, the next morning. He asks her if she is an alien, and she explains that she came to Earth to learn more about the inhabitants.
They are unaware that Eris is being pursued by fanatic alien worshippers and other mysterious organizations. Kio’s friends are also part of these organizations. It is now up to Kio to defend Eris against these shady organizations. But is he brave enough and skilled enough to do this?
This anime was ecchi. I watched it and enjoyed it. The story is not complex, but it’s not the most important thing to watch when watching ecchi anime. However, it’s entertaining and has good comedy.
